Andy is the patriarch of our office. After all, his name comes first on our letterhead.
Andy first came to Spooner in 1978 for a job that he’s still doing today - which is representing the people in our community. That’s over 35 years serving our community. Andy arrived in Spooner after graduating from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to Law School, Andy received his Master's in history from the University of Wisconsin.
After a few years under the wing of more experienced lawyers, Andy set out with his partner to build a practice they could call home. A short time later, duo split, and Andy ended up running the office as a sole practitioner. His office became a staple in downtown Spooner.
Some things have changed in the last 35 years, but some things haven’t. We still do, and always will, earn our money the old-fashioned way - through hard work. Most important, Andy’s dedication to his clients will never change either. We like to think that Andy has aged well - and with age come experience. His experience and leadership has led him to establish a solid track record of success in cases of criminal law, family law, real estate, probate, wills, and bankruptcy – to name a few.
It may not seem like it, but Andy also has a life out of the office too! When he's not working, Andy first and foremost enjoys spending time with his family. Together with his wife Barb, they have four children and a herd of grandchildren. Babysitting has become a popular hobby at the Lawton house!
